Wripple is filled with exceptional professionals whose diverse experiences fuel creativity and impact. Their commitment is what makes our community special. This month, we’re thrilled to spotlight Ashley Proffitt, Copywriter/Creative Director.

1. Tell us a bit about yourself, what do you do as a freelancer and where are you from?

I’m a copywriter/creative director originally from Atlanta, but I work mostly in New York and Los Angeles these days.

2. What’s a recent project/client win (big or small) that made you feel proud?

I recently pitched a massive initiative for one of my clients that could improve the financial lives of young Americans in 2017 and beyond. It was a big swing, and there’s love for the idea from the top down.

3. What’s a skill or strength you bring to the team that people might not know about?

I’m excited about how AI can help us make creative work happen faster. For the last few years, I’ve focused on incorporating AI into my process. The years I’ve spent leading human creative teams has honed my taste level and given me the keen eye and leadership needed to curate and refine AI output, arriving at the best work possible in record time.

4. What types of projects energize you the most?

Work that can improve the lives of people and help them thrive in this wild west of a world is my favorite. And I love any opportunity to add beauty to the world and create lasting emotional connections.

5. Is there anything else you’d like to share? (awards, recognitions, other passions)

I believe we should be responsible stewards of our planet, so I look for ways to help create less waste in the world. Fashion is an exceptionally wasteful industry, so I design and run a line of sustainable clothing and jewelry called Ghost Tropic as an affordable alternative to fast fashion. We don’t use any plastic anywhere in our manufacturing or shipping process—even our mailers are recycled, recyclable, and compostable.
