1. Tell us a bit about yourself, what do you do and where are you from?
I’m a writer and communications professional based in New York City. Throughout my career, I’ve worked both in-house and as a freelance writer for a wide range of organizations—from companies and universities to nonprofit organizations and a charter school network. Along the way, I’ve written and edited everything from handbooks and curriculum for young people to magazine articles, newsletters, annual reports, and content for digital campaigns, e-commerce, and brand storytelling.
At my core, I’m someone who genuinely enjoys the craft of writing—finding the right words and tone to convey an idea in a way that resonates with an audience. I’m also fascinated by AI and have been exploring how it can support the writing process, particularly when it comes to iterating on drafts and refining language.
2. What’s a recent project/client win (big or small) that made you feel proud?
A recent project I’ve really enjoyed is writing a series of blog posts for a client in the education space. The pieces explore topics such as CRM systems in higher education, experiential learning, and ways institutions can build stronger connections through meaningful human interaction rather than relying solely on technology.
What I appreciate most about this work is the challenge of taking complex or highly specialized topics and translating them into articles that are clear, engaging, and genuinely useful to readers. Each piece requires careful framing and thoughtful storytelling, and it’s satisfying to see the ideas come together in a way that makes complex subjects feel accessible.
3. What’s a skill or strength you bring to the team that people might not know about?
In addition to my writing skills, one strength I bring to a team is my ability to collaborate thoughtfully with others. I enjoy working closely with colleagues to shape ideas and refine messaging, and I try to bring both curiosity and a sense of humor to the process.
I’m also comfortable making editorial decisions when needed, especially when it helps move a project forward or improve the final result. Writing often involves balancing many perspectives, and I try to keep the focus on what will ultimately serve both the audience and the goals of the project.
4. What types of projects energize you the most?
I’m most energized by projects that require creativity and insight. I like the puzzle of finding the right language to communicate a message clearly for a particular platform and audience. Sometimes that means shaping campaign language or messaging; other times it involves researching and writing longer pieces that explore a topic in depth.
I especially enjoy working with teams who understand that words matter and are willing to iterate and revise until we get it right.
5. Is there anything else you’d like to share? (awards, recognitions, other passions)
In addition to my professional work, creative writing is a longtime passion of mine. In my free time, I’m currently working on a young adult novel.
I also enjoy staying active—I go to the gym regularly, and I’ve completed eight marathons, which taught me a lot about perseverance and discipline.
